ALBA ISABEL OBAMA CROWNED MISS UNIVERSE EQUATORIAL GUINEA 2022

Equatorial Guinea has their new queen! 

Chelsea Mituy crowned her successor Alba Isabel Obama from Mbini as the new Miss Universe Equatorial Guinea druing a finale event held on Saturday, September 17 at Parque Nacional De Malabo. Alba will now represent Equatorial Guinea at the 71st Miss Universe competition to be held in the first quarter of next year.

Vanila Andeme from Ebibeyin and Maria Marta from Akonibe were crowned 1st and 2nd runner-up and will represent Equatorial Guinea at Miss World and Miss International, respectively.

Alba Isabel Obama is 20 years-old and hails from Mbini, Rio Muni. She plays basketball and speaks Spanish, English and French. She graduated high school, but doesn't rule out potentially continuing her studies and is interested in studying law as she believes she'd be able to help society through her work in that field. She currently works as a model and protocol officer of the second deputy secretary general at the Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE).
