VIRGINIA STABLUM CROWNED MISS UNIVERSE ITALY 2022
The stunning Virginia Stablum from Trentino Alto Adige bested 19 other contestants and won the Miss Universe Italy 2022 crown on September 18 at Lo Smeraldo Ricevimenti di Lusso in Puglia. She will now represent Italy at the 71st Miss Universe competition!
This was the first edition of Miss Universe Italy under the directorship of Damiss Management. The selection committee included former Miss Universe Italy Viviana Vizzini, entrepreneur and beauty expert Claudia Orlando, pageant coach Carlos Wiher and makeup artist Giordano Conti.
Chiara Davanzo from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Michela Russo from Sicilia were crowned 1st and 2nd runner-up, respectively.

24 year-old Virginia Stablum hails from Trentino Alto Adige and is a professional model, influencer and student of communication sciences. This queen is of Italian, German and Nigerian roots. She is no stranger to pageants; she was crowned Miss Mondo Madonna di Campiglio in 2017, Miss World Cover Girl in 2017 and placed top five at Miss World Italia 2017. She rose to bigger fame after participating in a dating show called "Uomini e Donne" in 2018.
"I am enthusiastic about this victory and above all proud to have participated in such an incredible and innovative competition that promotes the new frontiers of beauty, focusing on qualities that go beyond appearance. When I learned that in 2023 the Miss Universe competition would also opened the doors married women, pregnant women and mothers, I thought this was a very brave choice demonstrating progress, and it's also one of the reasons why I chose to participate this year. It is my honor to represent Italy at Miss Universe and I dedicate this victory to all women and to the wonderful, complex and magical world we represent.", said Virginia in her post coronation statement.
